There are birthday dinners… and then there’s this. Cue the Dean Martin playlist and pour the limoncello, because this year I threw myself the Italian birthday party of my dreams — and it was molto bene. 💃🏻🍷
Let’s be real — I’m not a “wait and see what someone plans for me” kind of birthday girl. I live for the theme, the styling, the hosting, the playlist, the homemade menu... all of it. My birthday is basically an excuse to throw my favorite kind of dinner party: one where the vibes are perfect, the wine flows freely, and no one leaves without a slice of cake and a handmade charm bracelet. ✨
🍝 The Theme: Italian Summer Dinner Party

It was giving Tuscany backyard dinner meets Pinterest board come to life.
🎀 Details That Made It Magical
Decor & Styling:
I pulled together most of the pieces myself, but huge shoutout to @moxyhouse for adding the sweetest touches — from vintage glassware to dreamy table settings, they helped bring the vision to life. #MoxyHouse really understood the cutesy-core meets rustic Italian vibe I was going for.
The DIY Charm Bar:
Straight from Amazon and straight from my heart. I set up a little station with beads, wine charms, and little trinkets so everyone could create their own accessory. It was such a hit, and the perfect “activity” for a dinner party crowd.
The Menu:
Antipasto board to start (with allll the cheeses)
Homemade pasta (yes I did it, yes it was a labor of love)
Lemon cake with cream cheese frosting and berries 🍰
And of course, plenty of wine and Limoncello Spritzes on repeat
IYKYK: I’d rather spend the day cooking and curating a vibe than sitting at a restaurant with a preset menu. This is my kind of birthday magic.
🌙 The Backyard Setup
Endless gratitude to my parents for having the dreamiest backyard to host this night. Twinkle lights, long tables, cozy seating, and a hint of that golden hour glow made it feel like we’d been transported straight to the Amalfi Coast — no passport required.
🥂 Why I Throw My Own Parties
Some people think it’s extra. I say it’s intentional joy. Planning something beautiful for the people I love brings me so much happiness. I love creating a space where people can gather, laugh, eat, dance, and make memories.
That’s what birthdays are about, right?
