Gin Gimlet Recipe ft. Primrose

Say hello to your new signature sip: The Good Luck Charm. ☘️

This refreshing little cocktail is my take on a classic gimlet, with a bright green twist just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. It's made with gin, lime, mint, cucumber, and a whole lot of ✨vibe✨—because St. Paddy’s isn't just about beer and leprechaun hats.

I used Primrose Gin (an Irish floral gin that felt like fate), but any botanical or floral-forward gin will work beautifully. The name “Primrose” comes from the Irish flower, so it felt only right to honor the roots and give this green goddess of a drink some good luck energy.

🍸 The Good Luck Charm Cocktail Recipe

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 oz floral or botanical gin (I used @PrimroseGin)

  • ½ oz fresh lime juice

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • 2–3 slices cucumber

  • Handful of mint leaves

  • Orange sanding sugar (for the rim – optional but adorable)

  • Ice

🧃 How to Make It:

  1. Muddle your cucumber and mint at the bottom of a cocktail shaker.

  2. Add gin, lime juice, and simple syrup.

  3. Fill the shaker to the top with ice and shake it like you mean it! 💃🏻

  4. Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.

  5. Garnish with a rolled cucumber ribbon and a sprig of mint.

  6. Optional: Rim the glass with orange sanding sugar for a festive pop (and a nod to the Irish flag!).

🍀 Why You’ll Love It:

This gimlet is crisp, herbaceous, and oh so green — without being overly sweet or complicated. The cucumber and mint bring garden-fresh flavor and natural color, making it the perfect cocktail for celebrating spring, good vibes, or just a random Tuesday that needs a little charm.

✨ Party Tip:

Make a batch in advance and serve in a pretty carafe with a tray of pre-rimmed glasses for your next girls’ night, spring brunch, or St. Paddy’s soirée.
